Lyavon Volski: See you on barricades!

Krambambulya band, which is banned in Belarus, played a gig in Vilnius.

The concert on March 2 was organised as part of Razmarozka (Defrost) festival. A capacity crowd gathered in Vilnius's Forum Palace to hear the Belarusian musicians.

Kiryl Atamanchyk, an organiser of the youth initiative StudAlliance, said to charter97.org that more than 1,000 people attended the event.

“Most of them were Belarusians who came to Vilnius from Belarus. The concert was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere under scores of national white-red-white flags. Krambambulya played both old hits and new songs,” the activist said.

Lyavon Volski, Krambambulya's leader, finished the concert with the words “See you on barricades” and the audience shouted “Long live Belarus”.

Krambambulya and another blacklisted group, Neuro Dubel, will have one more concert in Vilnius on March 30. The gig will take place in Loft club with the help of European Humanities University.
