Montenegro national team detained for two hours at Minsk airport

The Montenegrins refused from the traditional dinner with the representatives of the Belarusian Football Federation.

Players and coaches of Montenegro national team together with journalists and representatives of the football association, who came along, had to stay two hours too long at the national airport Minsk-2 because of customs clearance problems. Belarus and Montenegro have long signed a visa-free travel agreement. Despite that an unpleasant surprise waited for the national team at the airport’s building, Pressball reports.

After the incident the representatives of the Montenegro football association claimed that they would not participate in the traditional dinner with the representatives of the Belarusian Football Federation before the friendly game.

Montenegro national team is playing against the team of Belarus today. The game will take place in Zhodzina, it starts at 18.30.
