Videofact: In Minsk, Woman With Children Crossed Busy Avenue Not At Pedestrian Crossing

In Minsk, a woman with two children crossed Independence Avenue right above the underground crosswalk and in front of the traffic police. The incident was recorded by a dashboard camera, tut.by reports.

The record shows a woman with two young children crossing the avenue near the intersection with Engels street. After pedestrians got to the opposite side, a traffic police car drove up to them.

The Minsk traffic police reports that the woman has been brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 18.23 of the Administrative Code of Belarus. She has explained to the inspectors that she was aware of the illegality of her actions, but she was in a hurry to take the children to the theater.
