Ukrainian Intelligence Service Destroyed Enemy Armoured Vehicle With Unique Copper Core Cumulative Bomb

The weapon has been specially designed to eliminate the occupants' equipment from drones.

Soldiers of the 15th Main Directorate of Military Counterintelligence of the SSU continue to mow down the ranks of Russian armoured vehicles by mastering a new working technique and unique ammunition in the process.

Yesterday afternoon, in Zaporizhzhia region, an ordinary drone "Autel", which can be bought for 3000 dollars without a thermal imager, destroyed the enemy's armoured infantry fighting vehicle.

A 400 grams, unique, designed in Ukraine, cumulative bomb with a copper impact core, similar in action to the NLAW warhead, was dropped on it.

It penetrates 70 millimetres of the toughest armour. For example, the thickness of armour of an APC/BMP is 8-10 millimetres, the roof of a tank is 30-40 millimetres.

And the cost of making such ammunition is as much as 1,000 hryvnias, writes Anton Gerashchenko, adviser to the Ukrainian Interior Minister.
