Z-channels reported on Ukraine's successes in the Donbas.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have launched counterattacks near Konstantinovka and are attempting to retake positions within the city itself, according to a report by the Russian Z-channel “Rybary” dated October 29. It states that Ukrainian assault teams entered destroyed buildings in the Novoselivka district and reached the immediate outskirts of the Pervomaisky microdistrict.

“The enemy, taking advantage of its local superiority in the ‘low sky,’ is conducting counterattacks with the aim of regaining positions in the city,” writes “Rybary.” He attributes the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ advance to the superiority of Ukrainian drones in this sector.

The Russian offensive in Donbas has faced a number of serious operational, tactical, and logistical challenges in recent months, significantly slowing its pace and leading to record losses. According to expert analysis, including that of the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), the average rate of advance of Russian troops has fallen to fractions of a square kilometer per day.

October marked the first month in which the declared strategic goal—to eliminate 50,000 Russians per month—was effectively achieved.

As a result, the Russian Armed Forces lost an estimated 54,000 soldiers killed and wounded.

This is an all-time record since the start of the full-scale war.
