The concept was proposed by Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Sivak.
The “government” of Belarus is considering the idea of demolishing five-story buildings. Deputy Prime Minister Anatol Sivak told Aliaksandr Lukashenka about this during a visit to the construction site of a cottage village near Minsk.
According to the dictator’s press service, Sivak believes that it is necessary to go deeper into the existing infrastructure.
“Today we still have houses that need major repairs. They are in a borderline state. You can demolish a five-story Khrushchev-era building, a box, leaving the foundation, and put it on it,” he suggested, speaking about the concept of housing construction for the next five-year period.
Lukashenka responded to this by asking that appropriate proposals be made to him.
“Make suggestions. Consider this accepted,” he said.
