Britain Is Providing Ukraine With 150,000 Drones

The United Kingdom has announced a new package of military aid for Ukraine worth 725 million pounds sterling (about 836 million euros). It will include 150,000 drones, as well as more than 350 missiles and radar systems for air defense. According to the British government, funding is provided through the Extraordinary Revenue Acceleration for Ukraine (ERA) loan, which is backed by proceeds from frozen Russian assets.
In addition to drones, Ukraine will receive light multi-purpose missiles and ground-based radars designed to strengthen its defenses against Russian air attacks.
British Defense Minister Dan Jarvis, who is co-chairing a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the “Ramstein” format in Brussels, noted that the new aid will better protect Ukrainian citizens from Russian missile and drone strikes.
Officials in London emphasized that the package is aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s air defense system, improving the effectiveness of protection for critical infrastructure and the population, and supporting Ukraine’s domestic defense industry.
The British government also stated that it continues to ramp up support for Kyiv—from arms deliveries and energy assistance to increasing pressure on Russia’s military capabilities. According to officials, these measures should help Ukraine maintain its resilience on the battlefield ahead of the coming winter.
