The dictator was shown his status.
The presidents of Lithuania, Latvia and Poland boycotted a group photo at the United Nations (UN) climate change meeting COP28 on Friday because Aliaksandr Lukashenka also posed for it, LRT reports.
“It would be hypocritical to stand shoulder to shoulder with the head of state, which became the springboard for Russian aggression against Ukraine, and discuss the future of the world and climate change as if nothing had happened. The Belarusian regime contributes to the destruction of the future world and, together with Russia, is responsible for what is happening in Ukraine — from the loss of life to the catastrophic impact on the environment,” said Gitanas Nausėda.
“It's called a family photo. Lukashenka does not belong to the family we want to belong to,” added the Lithuanian President.
The presidents of Latvia and Poland, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Andrzej Duda, also refused to be present in this photo.
