The military carried out a special maneuver to get the pilot's attention.
U.S. Air Force fighter jets intercepted a civilian aircraft that violated temporary flight restrictions over the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where President Donald Trump resides.
This was reported on social media by H North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD).
“Earlier today, fighter jets from NORAD’s Continental Region (CONR) intercepted a general-avigation aircraft that entered an active temporary flight restriction (TFR) zone established by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over Palm Beach, Florida,” the statement reads.
After the military performed a maneuver to get the pilot’s attention, the pilot of the civilian aircraft established radio contact and exited the restricted airspace, following the instructions received.
Meanwhile, the command urged pilots to always review NOTAMs before takeoff to avoid similar incidents.
