Lukashenka Terminates Agreement With Ukraine On Joint Border Control

On December 13, Aliaksandr Lukashenka signed a law terminating the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Ukraine on organizing joint control at checkpoints on the Belarusian-Ukrainian state border. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal.

Previously, the law was adopted by the “House of Representatives” and approved by the “Council of the Republic”.

There, the agreement between the governments of Belarus and Ukraine, which was signed in Kyiv on December 14, 1995 and ratified by the law of March 3, 1997, was terminated.
