Event With Putin Epically Fails On Russian TV

Simonyan and Malakhov humiliated the head of the Russian Federation.

The broadcast of the so-called "Direct Line" with Putin failed miserably on air.

Russian media outlets report that on the Kremlin-controlled federal TV channels of Rossiya 1, Channel One and NTV, the broadcast of the event did not even make it into the top 5 in terms of ratings for the week, based on Mediascope data.

They were surpassed by Vesti, programmes by Andrei Malakhov, Irada Zeynalova and even an interview with propagandist Simonyan.

Thus, Russians have significantly lost interest in televised events with Putin's participation, which are increasingly becoming a ritual for Russia's chief pensioner.

The broadcast of "Results of the Year" with Putin on Channel One was only in 13th place, while on NTV it was in 68th place.

Among the audience aged 18-54 (i.e. excluding children and pensioners) "Results of the Year" was even lower in the rating.

The broadcast on "Russia 1" ranked 16th, and on "Channel One" - 32nd.

In the pre-election year of 2017, the interest in the broadcasts with Putin was much higher, however, 6 years later the situation has changed.
