Political Scientist: Xi Jinping Came To ‘Finesse’ Putin
XI JINPING

This visit will be difficult for the owner of the Kremlin.

Viktor Shlinchak, head of the board of the Institute of World Politics, editor-in-chief of Glavkom, believes that Xi Jinping is going to Moscow with a clear plan of how he will “finesse” Russia.

He expressed this opinion on the air of Espreso.

“This visit, despite being raised to the highest state rank, will be quite difficult for Putin, because Xi Jinping has one task, and Putin has a completely different one. That is, common ground may not be found. It is very important for Putin to draw China into our war, so that China will declare support for all those desires that Russia has already articulated many times. In my opinion, Putin will try to resort to analogies with Taiwan in order to force Xi Jinping to have a greater liking for what is happening at the front. Now the situation is completely different,” commented the political scientist.

Viktor Shlinchak noted that one must understand Chinese philosophy, which has not been elaborated for a year or two, the Chinese built their philosophy based on strategic goals.

“As for China’s strategic goals, let me remind you of Xi Jinping’s speech at the last party congress, he spoke about building a bipolar world, two axes, where China is on one pole and the United States is on the other. Based on this, absolutely the entire strategy of China will be built in accordance with the already declared goal of a bipolar world, and if Russia helps build this world, then it will be an ally, and if it hinders or does not contribute in any way to China’s plans, it will move to the rank of a country, which will hang out somewhere in the swamps, so it should be assumed that Xi Jinping is going to Moscow with a clear plan of how he will “finesse” Russia so that it does not spare its resources, is interested in the supply of Chinese goods, and so that the current Russian government “did not stand in the way” to the implementation of China's strategic goal,” Shlinczak said.
