Putin Classified Russian Oil

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has restricted access to information regarding the Russian Federation’s fuel and energy sector.

The corresponding decree bearing his signature was published on the Russian Federation’s state legal information portal on September 28, according to dialog.ua.

With his decree, Putin added information about the operations of Russian oil refineries to the list of restricted data. It will now be prohibited to publish information on the processing volumes of Russian refineries, including the results of Ukrainian strikes against them.

The document states that these are “urgent measures… in response to the unfriendly actions of the United States and its allies that contravene international law.”

Putin also issued a decree banning the dissemination of data on energy resources exported by Russia, including information on sellers and buyers, logistics, and prices.

It should be noted that U.S. President Donald Trump recently signed a law strengthening sanctions against Russia. Among other things, it provides for the imposition of tariffs of up to 500 percent on countries that purchase Russian oil.
