AFU Cross Dnipro, Advance In Kherson Region

The Ukrainian army expanded the bridgehead near the Antonivka bridge.

According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), during the counteroffensive, the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to advance to the left bank of the Dnipro river in the Kherson region.

The experts, referring to geolocation data, claim that now the Armed Forces of Ukraine have occupied and are holding some positions in the area of the Antonivka bridge, which is also confirmed by Russian “milbloggers”.

At the same time, Russian troops tried to repel Ukrainian attacks and activated Solntsepek.

From all this, the Institute for the Study of War concludes that the Armed Forces of Ukraine “are conducting some kind of operations in this area”.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine drove the Russian invaders from Kherson and adjacent settlements back in November 2022. After that, the invaders moved to the left bank of the Dnipro and used the natural barrier for regular attacks on civilians in the de-occupied part of the Kherson region.

However, at least since April, the Ukrainian army has been systematically working on the “eviction” of the enemy from the captured left bank.
