Lukashenka's regime kills activist of Polish origin.

Polish MEP Andrzej Halicki calls for the release of Belarusian opposition leader Mikalai Statkevich and Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk, an activist of the European Belarus civil campaign.

The MEP drew the Polish government's attention to the fact that Palina is of Polish origin:

"Immediate interference by the Polish government is required. We demand access for doctors to Belarusian political prisoners!

Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk could die in Lukashenka's prisons. She has been in a cell with no light, running water or toilet for over 200 days.

Mikalai Statkevich has spent around 10 years in Belarusian prisons for expressing his opinions. His health is extremely poor.

A doctor, preferably a Polish one, should get access to both prisoners as soon as possible," said Andrzej Halicki.
