Lukashenka Signs Decree On Urgent Conscription

Who is subject to the decree and when will it happen?

On July 27, Lukashenka signed Decree #227 “On Transfer to the Reserve, Urgent Conscription and Reserve Service,” the press service reports.

The decree provides for calling up in August-November 2023 for military service and service in the reserve of male citizens of Belarus who are 18 years old by the day of conscription and who do not have the right to deferment from conscription, and citizens of military age who have lost the right to deferment.

At the same time, the decree provides for the transfer to the reserve of the military who have completed their military service terms.
