Breakthrough To Berdiansk: Ukrainian Forces Break The Most Difficult Russian Defenсe Line

Ukrainian troops entered the rear of the Russian Federation in the South for the first time.

Ukrainian forces have broken through the most difficult line of Russian defences in the south and will now be able to advance more quickly, Reuters reports.

A Ukrainian battalion commander with callsign Skala is fighting in the direction of the recently liberated settlement of Robotyne and tells Reuters about it.

"We don't stop here. Next, we have Berdiansk, and then more. I made it clear to my fighters at once: Our goal is not Robotyne, our goal is Azov," he said.

At the same time, Skala added that the Ukrainian troops had already managed to overcome the main mined roads and reach the lines from which they could move forward.

The BC noted that he had no doubts that further advancement would be faster. At the same time, he added that in Robotyne itself, two more houses are under the control of the Russians.

Also, Robotyne is about 100 km from Berdiansk.

He also noted that Ukrainian forces entered territories where only Russian rear forces were located and hinted that it would be easy to break through their defences.

As previously reported, the fact that the Armed Forces of Ukraine were able to cross the first line of Russian defence in Zaporizhzhia was previously announced by Gen. Mark Milley, the US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
