Ukrainian defenders destroyed 6 Russian motorboats that were trying to return to the positions from which they were knocked out in the area of the occupied left bank of Kherson.

This was announced by the speaker of the “Pivden” Operational Commander Nataliya Humenyuk, Radio Svoboda reports.

“At this stage we can say that the enemy continues to be active there. The are looking for ways to provide themselves with denser defense. This includes the direction of the Dnipro itself, from the water. But minus six motorboats is a very eloquent, convincing report that we can give for the past 24 hours. Thus ended their (the occupiers’ — edit.) attempt to gain a foothold in those positions from which they had previously been knocked out. We also continue to destroy personnel and other equipment — guns, mortars, that they use to attack the shore and cause significant harm to the civilian population, both materially and physically. Because, unfortunately, there have been casualties over the past 24 hours in the Kherson region,” she said.
