Not only in the sense of overthrowing his regime.
The Glavred website hosted a chat with the former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine, Ukrainian Army General Mykola Malomuzh.
He spoke about the likelihood of a new attempt by Russia to attack Kyiv or an offensive from the Belarusian territory.
The expert believes that at the moment there are no prospects for a Russian offensive from the Belarusian territory, because there is no appropriate concentration of troops there.
"We have powerful fortifications along the border with Belarus, because we have taken into account the mistakes we made on February 24, 2022. Now there are several echelons of powerful defence lines there, huge minefields, which are impossible to overcome. Well, of course, the situation there is under control of the AFU units with fire systems, which will destroy the enemy in large numbers, even if 300 thousand come, they will be destroyed and stopped," said Malomuzh.
The expert is sure that Lukashenka is afraid to risk letting Russian troops through from his territory, much less send his own troops on the offensive.
"Lukashenka is getting insurance, although he is still playing along with Putin by providing arms, equipment, ammunition, rehabilitating the Russian military, repairing equipment and preparing it for combat, but no more than that. He realises that by entering the war, he will create a platform for powerful strikes from Ukraine. In addition, a confrontation with NATO countries may be provoked," Malomuzh explained.
He also emphasised that Putin can only use Lukashenka for a slaughter.
"Lukashenka realises that he is like a sacrificial lamb. It is like death for him not only in the sense of threatening to overthrow the regime, but also in the sense of military threats," the expert added.
