Ukrainian investigators have exposed the supply scheme.
Belarusian mineral fertilizer producer Hrodna Azot supplied its products to Ukraine through Russia. This is reported by ‘Radio Svaboda’ with reference to the ruling of Shevchenkivskyi district court in Kyiv.
Journalists said that the document states that the investigators exposed the scheme of supplying fertilizers from Belarus to Ukraine, which was organised by the Ukrainian Oskar Optima company.
‘Hrodna Azot’ sent its products to the port of Rostov, from where they were transported to the port of Burgas in Bulgaria, and then - to the port of the Bulgarian city of Ruse on the Danube and from there the products were transported to Izmail.
The fertilisers were cleared at customs on the basis of forged certificates of origin from Turkmenistan. But such fertilisers are not produced there at all.
Supplies were made through the Agro chain general trading LLC, which was registered in the UAE. Its managers are Turkish citizens.
Correspondence with the managers of Agro chain general trading LLC was found in the phone of one of the Oskar Optima employees. This is how it was established that the fertilisers were indeed supplied by Hrodna Azot.
Ukraine imposed sanctions against Hrodna Azot after Belarus supported the full-scale invasion of the Russians. The EU sanctions against such a company have been in force since 2021.
