The sabotage remains a mystery.
The sabotage at the two undersea Nord Stream pipelines in 2022 remains a mystery. Sweden has completed the investigation without reaching any clear conclusions about the identity of the perpetrators.
This is reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the statement of the Prosecutor's office of Sweden.
The conclusion of the investigation is as follows: there is no Swedish jurisdiction and therefore the investigation has to be closed.
The preliminary investigation was terminated because there is nothing to indicate that Sweden or its citizens were involved in the attack, the statement said.
An investigation into the incident is also underway in Germany.
"We have co-operated closely with the preliminary investigation being conducted by the German authorities. As part of this co-operation, we have handed over material that can be used as evidence in the German investigation," Mats Jungqvist, the prosecutor leading the Swedish investigation, said in the statement.
