Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, who was caught having connections with Gazprom and danced at her wedding with Russian dictator Putin in 2018, moved to live in Russia and made a very strange statement, DW reports, citing Russian federal media.

It is worth noting that Kneisl arrived in the Russian Federation in the summer of 2023 and rented some house construction in the village of Petrushovo, Ryazan region of the Russian Federation. Now she said that she will remain in Russia for good, but will not change her Austrian citizenship for now.

The Austrian cast her vote on March 3, while on the sidelines of the Russian so-called “World Youth Festival”.

“I moved to Russia because it is a truly free country,” Kneissl said.

It is worth noting that these words of the former Austrian official against the backdrop of the invasion of the Russian Armed Forces into Ukraine, which has been going on for two years, as well as the murder of Russian oppositionist and political prisoner Alexei Navalny, sounded especially defiant.
