Ukrainian developers of strike UAVs together with the military conducted successful tests of an FPV drone with an anti-personnel grenade launcher.
The video was released by Ukrainian drone developer Wild Hornets.
The Bulava unit of unmanned trike systems of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky presidential brigade. Bohdan Khmelnytsky conducted successful fire tests of the Queen Hornets drone, on which the Bulspike-AP hand-held anti-personnel grenade launcher was installed as a means of destruction.
The developers noted that the drone with the new equipment will be able to work on targets at a distance of more than 5 kilometers, this should open up new opportunities for the military.
"We cannot provide other details yet, except that we will continue to work in this direction together with the Bulava in order to enter mass production to help our military," the company said.
The 15-inch Queen Hornet drone is capable of carrying a weight of up to 9.5 kilograms over a distance of 5 kilometers or a lighter 6-kilogram load of 17 km.
Its use as a multiple carrier should significantly increase the efficiency of the drone, given that the payload margin allows carrying two 4-kilogram grenade launchers at the same time.
The Bulspike-AP used during the tests is equipped with a OG-22M high-explosive rocket grenade designed to defeat enemy manpower in open areas, in trenches, field-type shelters, as well as unarmored and lightly armored vehicles.
According to the manufacturer, the grenade itself weighs 2 kilograms and, when detonated, forms more than a thousand fragments. The range of its direct shot is about 100 meters.
The drone consists of 65% Ukrainian components. In particular, it uses Ukrainian electronics developed during the war.
