Russia has already started a war against Europe.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, speaking in Copenhagen at a meeting with European leaders to discuss "hybrid attacks," said that different "incidents" in the Baltic Sea occur almost every day. According to him, what is happening should be called nothing but a new kind of war.
"In fact, we have new incidents in the region and in the Baltic Sea every week, almost every day. We must put an end to such illusions. The first illusion was and still is - it is that there is no war. Some of us like to use definitions such as full-scale aggression, incidents or provocation. No, there is war. A new kind of war, very complex, but it is a war," Tusk said (quoted in The Guardian).
He recalled that a number of security-threatening incidents have been reported in Poland in recent days, the latest of which occurred near the port of Szczecin. According to the Prime Minister, the situation for Warsaw is "not abstract", as numerous attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border are recorded on a daily basis, as well as attacks on Polish servicemen, which have already resulted in fatalities. "This is our war, and if Ukraine loses, it will mean our failure," Tusk noted.
Talking about the balance of power, he emphasized that Europe is far superior to Russia in all key indicators. However, the prime minister added, Moscow's advantage lies in its psychological readiness for sacrifice and suffering. "They are ready to fight, ready to sacrifice something, ready to suffer. And that is precisely their psychological advantage. Sometimes we are not decisive and determined enough," Tusk said.
Following the speech, the Polish prime minister issued a stern warning: "Not only because of our history, because of geography, but we know something about Russia's intentions and plans. We know that if they defeat Ukraine, it will be the end of my country and Europe in the future, of that I have no doubt."
