Deliveries resumed over the weekend.
US arms shipments to Ukraine were briefly suspended but resumed over the weekend, Reuters reported, citing four sources. All the while, the Trump administration is discussing policy towards Ukraine.
The two sources said the shipments resumed after the White House backtracked on its original intention to halt any aid to Ukraine.
The U.S. official said there is no unanimity within the Trump administration on the issue of helping Ukraine's war effort with weapons from the U.S. stockpile.
Stopping the flow of U.S. weapons would hamper Kyiv's opposition to a Russian invasion and put it in a less favourable position during peace talks.
In his final months in office, Biden approved the transfer of more than a billion dollars worth of weapons from the U.S. Army's stockpile to Ukraine, and with future production contracts included, a much larger amount.
No package has been announced since Donald Trump took office. However, the military aid approved by Joe Biden will continue to flow for several more months.
