What was discussed.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky held a meeting with the special representative of the US President Keith Kellogg.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's Telegram reports that.
"Ukraine is extremely grateful to the United States for its support, and we appreciate that President Trump is so determined to achieve real peace. It is very important to embody all the results - political, defense, economic - achieved during our meeting together with European leaders in Washington," Zelensky said.
He said it was a successful summit, a demonstration of real unity between Europe and America.
Zelensky expects the key foundations of security guarantees for Ukraine to be defined soon.
"We discussed how we can influence the Russians, force them to real negotiations and end the war. Sanctions, duties - everything should remain on the agenda. We are ready to talk in the format of leaders. This is the format we need to solve key things. Now we need the same readiness in Moscow," he emphasized.
The president said that military cooperation is important for Ukraine and the United States, and there are two strong opportunities - an agreement on the purchase of weapons and an agreement on drones, which "can significantly strengthen our arsenals."
"We keep the momentum in the work within the framework of PURL. This is an important tool for purchasing American equipment at the expense of partners, and we are now actively working to attract additional countries," Zelensky noted.
He also discussed with Kellogg the return of all abducted Ukrainian children.
"We very much hope that America, the president and first lady of the United States will continue to make personal efforts to return all children abducted by Russia," the president emphasized.
