Russia's Belgorod Has Been Hit By The Longest Explosions Since The Start Of The War

The missile attack on the city was carried out by a new generation of HIMARS.

Belgorod on Saturday night was hit by the longest series of explosions since Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine began. Local blogs reported a missile attack on the city, after which there were power and communication outages, writes "Dialog.UA".

"Missile danger. Together with you we hear loud sounds over Belgorod. Some readers report that their lights have blinked or gone out. Also some have problems with communication and internet. The sounds of explosions are continuing over Belgorod - for about five minutes now," writes one Belgorod publick and notes that this is "the longest shelling" since the war began.

Social media published footage in which the loud sounds of explosions could be clearly heard and Russian air defenses were reported to be at work. Later there were reports that to the power and communication outages were added problems with water supply: in some houses the pressure was weakened, in others - there is no water at all.

"50 explosions occurred in Belgorod during the attack of the AFU - in the center there is no light, in the districts there are power outages," - wrote the Russian media. They also claim that the AFU is using "new-generation HIMARS missiles" during this attack.

"Air defense systems are operating in the city area. Apparently, the AFU is trying to hit the Belgorod thermal power plant. Multiple explosions are heard in the Belgorod area. They were hitting the energy sector. In the city center fires, laid at least 3 packages," - reported, in turn, Z-channels.

The General Staff of the AFU has not yet made statements about new strikes on enemy facilities in Belgorod.
