There are signs that this plan is beginning to be implemented.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has ordered his troops to render all of Ukraine’s major cities uninhabitable in order to force the country to surrender.
This was reported by The Guardian.
According to the journalists, they have obtained a new Russian plan that calls for a significant escalation of terror against Ukraine’s civilian population.
The publication noted that the Russian military’s recent actions indicate that this plan is already being implemented. For example, last week, Russian missiles and drones systematically struck power plants in Kyiv, Kharkiv, and other major cities. This led to constant power outages and disruptions in the water supply.
“Even when Donald Trump unilaterally announced an ‘energy ceasefire’ between Moscow and Kyiv last week, Russia continued to launch methodical and devastating strikes against Ukraine’s power grid—particularly against facilities in Kyiv—as part of a strategy aimed at punishing the Ukrainian population and forcing the country to surrender,” the journalists emphasize.
The publication concluded that Putin is resorting to this strategy due to the Russian army’s lack of success on the battlefield, as well as against the backdrop of the recent counteroffensive by the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The Russian dictator’s goal is quite specific—to render every Ukrainian city uninhabitable. In Russia, they have even calculated how many missiles and drones would be needed to achieve this goal.
In addition, the enemy has identified vulnerable targets in the Ukrainian power grid and has even planned strikes on high-risk facilities, specifically distribution substations at several nuclear power plants.
Putin’s main objective remains unchanged—Kyiv. The Russian dictator aims to deprive Ukraine’s capital of 90% of its electricity supply, plunging the city into cold and darkness.
“According to experts’ forecasts, in the worst-case scenario, power outages could last up to 20 hours a day until the damaged equipment is repaired,” the publication writes.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian dictator plans to deploy ballistic missiles in Belarus.
