Relatives And Friends Of "Charter-97" Journalist Konstantin Ivanov Are Raising Funds For His Funeral
Konstantin Ivanov

He passed away on October 24.

Friends and family of “Charta-97” journalist Konstantin Ivanov, who died after a serious illness, are raising money for his funeral in Warsaw, his cremation, and all the formalities involved in transporting his ashes and honoring his memory in Belarus.

“We are grateful for every donation. If you cannot support us financially, please share this fundraiser. Sometimes a single forwarded link reaches the right person and changes everything,” writes Konstantin’s close friend Sergei Guminsky.

Konstantin Ivanov passed away on October 24. He was 40 years old.

In the 2000s, Konstantin was one of the most prominent activists in the “Zubr” movement and the “European Belarus” civic campaign in Vitebsk. He was repeatedly detained by security forces during protests.

After the 2010 presidential “elections,” he moved to Poland and worked as a journalist for the website Charter97.org.
