Overnight, the situation changed.
On Tuesday, October 27, parliamentary elections were held in Israel, following which the first exit polls were released. However, the updated results from tonight paint a completely different picture from the one that emerged just a few hours ago after the polls closed.
This is reported by The Times of Israel.
Channel 12 exit poll
According to Channel 12’s exit poll, the bloc of parties led by Israel’s incumbent Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has surged ahead and is projected to win 52 seats, even though just a few hours ago the bloc was trailing and in second place in the Knesset. The updated exit poll shows the following results:
“Likud” – 27;
Shas – 7;
Yahadut HaTorah – 6;
Religious Zionism–Zeut – 6;
Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) – 6.
Meanwhile, the opposition bloc of parties Gadi Eizenkot, leader of the opposition party “Yashar,” has lost ground and is projected to win 50 seats, though the latest data puts the figure at 49 seats:

Channel 11 exit poll
According to the Channel 11 exit poll, the race is now tied. Now both blocs have 51 seats each.
Specifically, the Eisenkot bloc has the following results:
“Yashar” – 21;

Ben-Gvir (“Otzma Yehudit”) – 6.

Channel 13 exit poll
The updated results of the Channel 13 exit poll also indicate that both blocs will each receive 51 seats, but at the same time, several parties have slightly different figures.
Netanyahu’s bloc has the following results:
“Likud” – 27;
Shas – 6;
Yahadut HaTorah – 6;
Religious Zionism–Zeut – 6;
Ben-Gvir (Otzma Yehudit) — 6;
Meanwhile, the Eisenkot bloc received:

Preliminary Election Results
It is worth noting that the Central Election Commission of Israel has already begun publishing preliminary vote counts on its website. Of the more than 7.3 million ballots, just over 300,000 have been counted so far.
If we focus not on the electoral blocs but specifically on the leaders’ parties, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s Likud currently has 27.75% of the vote, while Eisenkot’s Yashar party has 16.34%. But it’s important to note that this is only the beginning of the vote count, and if we compare the electoral blocs, the situation is roughly even.

What Else Is Important to Know
Voter turnout in the Israeli election was 77.7%, which is 7.1% higher than in the 2022 election. At the same time, this is the highest turnout since 1999.
The key question in these elections is whether Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be able to retain power.
