The White House Clarified Trump's Remarks About Destroying Los Angeles And San Diego

A U.S. presidential aide commented on the “media panic.”

U.S. President Donald Trump, when referring to an attack on Los Angeles and San Diego, was implying that these cities could have been destroyed if Washington had not started a war with Iran. Stephen Chung, the U.S. President’s Assistant for Communications, wrote about this on social media platform X.

“The media’s panic over President Trump’s comments has no real basis. He clearly stated that U.S. cities would have been at risk if a nuclear Iran had not been stopped. America has become safer thanks to the president. Iran has no nuclear weapons, no navy, no air force, and no money,” he wrote.

Earlier, Trump stated that Iran could destroy Los Angeles and San Diego in California during a war with the U.S. He also noted that this is “a very small price to pay” and emphasized that the conflict “will end very soon.”
