An Absolute Triumph

An Absolute Triumph
Vladimir Gorbach

Everyone will be pushing for Trump to leave the political scene, even Republicans.

America is not beyond hope. The U.S. Democratic Party scored a landslide victory last night, one that even the most optimistic polls could not have predicted. The vote count is still ongoing, but Democrats in the United States are wrapping up this race with roughly 250 seats in Congress—the largest majority in the last twenty years—and with a number of incredible victories in the Senate, particularly in states where they hadn’t won in decades.

For example, Texas—for the first time in 38 years, Kansas—for the first time in more than 90 years, South Carolina—for the first time in nearly 30 years… Before the election, Republicans held 53 seats in the Senate to the Democrats’ 47, and the Democrats needed to win four seats to secure a majority—but they won six.

This victory didn’t happen because they’re Democrats, but because they now serve as a counterweight to you-know-who, and you know why…

U.S. President Donald Trump, commenting on the vote, told reporters that he had expected better results from his team and was somewhat surprised that, despite numerous rallies and voter support, some of the Republican candidates were still unable to win.

The midterm election results are also seen as an indicator of support for the incumbent president’s policies ahead of the next presidential election in 2028. Thus, Donald Trump has suffered a historic defeat. And the last two years of his presidency will be marked by ongoing investigations into him, his family, his advisors, and his allies, conducted by Democratic-controlled congressional committees.

The incumbent president can no longer appoint judges, cannot advance legislation, and even his ability to promote international agreements is severely limited—it is hard to imagine this Congress approving any of his “agreements” —which is, in reality, a deal—with Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.

I’ll say more: his “mediation efforts” to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian war will now go down the drain as well...

He will no longer be able to force anyone to do anything. Everyone will be waiting for him to leave the political scene and will accelerate this process by any means necessary. Everyone, including Republicans.
