They were expected to reach the U.S. coast between November 7 and 11.

Yes, the tankers carrying Russian diesel fuel that were heading to the U.S. have changed course. This was reported by "Agency" citing data from MarineTraffic.

It was initially reported that three tankers carrying Russian diesel fuel were heading to the United States as part of an agreement between U.S. President Donald Trump and dictator Vladimir Putin. These were the tankers Agioi Fanendes, Talisman, and Leruo, which were carrying a total of about 140,000 metric tons of diesel.

At this time, only the Agioi Fanendes continues to head toward the U.S. coast. As for the Talisman and Leruo, they have changed their destinations. For example, the Leruo is now heading to Brazil instead of the U.S.

These tankers loaded diesel fuel at Russian ports in late October. They were expected to arrive off the U.S. coast between November 7 and 11 of this year.

As a reminder, on October 9, Donald Trump struck a deal with Putin, allowing Russia to sell 5 million metric tons of diesel fuel on the global market. The agreement is valid through April 2027. Trump hopes that Russian diesel will help lower prices at gas stations in the U.S. However, many U.S. politicians are criticizing Trump’s deal with Putin.
