72% of young voters cast their ballots for Democratic Party candidates.

The Democratic Party won the midterm elections for the U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate. CNN and NBC News have published poll results showing whose support U.S. President Donald Trump has lost.

NBC reports that in 2024, Trump trailed Democratic candidates by only five percentage points among voters under 30. At the time, as the network notes, the U.S. president was popular in the “manosphere” and interacted frequently with podcast hosts and bloggers.

According to the network, Trump may have “alienated” young people the most over the past two years—a demographic dissatisfied with high prices and wars.

According to NBC News exit polls, 72% of young voters cast their ballots for Democratic candidates in this election, while 25% voted for Republicans.

Latino voters also leaned toward the Democrats. According to the poll, two years ago, 51% of Latino voters cast their ballots for Kamala Harris. On November 3, 62% of them voted for Democratic candidates. Republicans, in turn, received 35% of the vote, compared to 46% two years ago.

The poll also showed that the share of Latino voters who identify as Democrats rose to 44% from 39% in 2024. Thus, for the first time since 2018, a decline in this share has been replaced by an increase.

A CNN poll, in turn, showed stronger support for Democrats among women. In the 2022 election, women made up 8% of the electorate, while in Tuesday’s election, they accounted for 18%.

Men, who were more likely to vote for the Republican Party in 2022, split their votes evenly this year.

Voting in the U.S. midterm elections took place on November 3. Americans elected all 435 members of the House of Representatives, 35 senators, and the governors of 36 states, as well as members of state legislatures and local officials.
