One of the cameras captured the entire sequence of events.
A security camera in Krakow captured the moment when an assailant crashed into a car at an intersection, then got out of his own car and opened fire on the police officers who were following him, according to TVN24.
The entire sequence of events was recorded, right up to the moment when one of the wounded police officers shot the attacker.
The video shows the climax of the tragedy that unfolded in Kraków in the afternoon. The attacker, who had earlier opened fire on bystanders in the Main Market Square, began fleeing from the police. At the intersection of Stradomska and Ditla Streets, he was unable to drive between the construction barriers and the cars stopped at the traffic light, and crashed into one of them.
New CCTV footage shows the Polish police officer shooting the attacker after being shot himself.
He managed to get back on his feet, shot the attacker several times, and lost consciousness due to his own injuries.

This prevented him from continuing on his way. The police officers pursuing him stopped their patrol car and got out with their weapons drawn. The attacker also got out of the car, and a shootout ensued. Both officers were wounded, but one of them managed to hit the attacker at the last moment.
Another video shows the rest of the events. The wounded police officer gets to his feet, approaches the attacker, and shoots him several times at close range, then drops to his knees and lies down on the ground.
Both police officers are seriously injured and are in the hospital.
