Another Round Of Talks On Peace In Ukraine Concluded In Geneva

Details from Umerov.

In Geneva on the evening of February 26, they completed another round of negotiations in two formats - separately with the American side and in a trilateral format with the participation of the United States and Switzerland. This was reported by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov on Facebook.

After the meetings, Ukrainian negotiators together with representatives of the American side - Special Envoy Steve Whitkoff and Jared Kushner - had a general conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the results of the meeting and further steps.

"The next round is being prepared. We are working on finalizing security parameters, economic solutions and agreed positions, which should become the basis for further agreements. The task is to make the next trilateral meeting with the participation of the United States and Russia as substantive as possible," Umerov wrote.

He noted that special attention was focused on the economic block and long-term mechanisms to support Ukraine. At the meeting with American partners, the document on Ukraine's reconstruction was substantially worked out.

Umerov thanked US President Donald Trump and his team "for active involvement and consistent support of the process."
