Repeaters have been disabled.

Ukraine has managed to disable a state-of-the-art communication system that provided control of Russian drones "Shahed", which entered the north of the country from the territory of Belarus. This was reported by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mikhail Fedorov.

"We managed to neutralize the Mesh-net, which was used by "Shahed" in the north. This had a positive impact on the defense capability of Kiev and central regions of Ukraine," "Ukrainska Pravda" quoted him as saying.

Fedorov did not specify exactly how the network was disabled.

The destruction of Russian repeaters on the territory of Belarus was reported earlier by Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.

Advisor to the Minister of Defense Sergei Beskrestnov explained that the Mesh-network is arranged in such a way that all its nodes are simultaneously repeaters for each other. There are many "Shaheds" functioning in the network, which are managed by Russian operators.

"The control points are both in Russia and Belarus. What does it look like? It is an ordinary tower of a mobile operator or other high construction - about 70-80 meters, on which powerful antennas directed towards Ukraine are installed. Through such nodal points, the data from the Shahedovs arrive at the control center," Beskrestnov explained.
