The AFU Has Created A Command Of Unmanned Air Defense Systems

To counter Russian drones.

In the Armed Forces of Ukraine created a new command of unmanned air defense systems to counter Russian drones. This was announced on Facebook on February 4 by the AFU commander-in-chief Alexander Syrsky.

Highly professional officers with combat experience were sent to the Air Force command on Syrsky's orders, who provided practical proposals for the development of "small air defense," which resulted in the necessary management decisions, Syrsky said.

"At the same time, in this area, not everything depends only on the professionalism and dedication of our servicemen. The pace of work of Ukrainian and European manufacturers, as well as deliveries of radars, BPAKs and UAV interceptors from Western partners remain decisive," the AFU chief wrote.

Syrsky noted that Russian troops are constantly improving their means of defeat, in particular, equipping attack drones with Starlink satellite communication terminals, using difficult weather conditions and other tactical solutions.

"Additional involvement of army aviation continues. In total, 5,830 means of enemy air attack have already been destroyed by helicopters of the army aviation," emphasized the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU.
