Russia's Belgorod Was Left Without Light, Water And Heat After A Series Of Explosions

The overnight strike knocked out critical infrastructure.

On the night of March 25, Belgorod shuddered from a series of powerful explosions. It became known that as a result of the attack, energy infrastructure facilities were seriously damaged.

It was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the region's governor Vyacheslav Gladkov.

So, in the Russian city of Belgorod on the night of March 25, a series of explosions took place amid a declared missile threat. According to local sources, the explosions began around 04:30, after which power supply disappeared or briefly disappeared in some parts of the city, and flashes were seen in the sky.

Local authorities said that the city and Belgorod district were allegedly subjected to missile fire from Ukraine. According to governor Vyacheslav Gladkov, "serious damage" to energy infrastructure facilities has been recorded, causing disruptions to electricity, water and heat supply in Belgorod itself and the Belgorod district.

There are no casualties.

Emergency services are working on the ground. The occupation authorities promise to assess the exact scale of damage at the aggressor's facilities a little later.

It should be noted that Belgorod region is a key logistical hub for the Russian occupation group, which is shelling Kharkiv and border communities of Sumy region. The defeat of power facilities in this region significantly complicates enemy logistics and the work of Russian military enterprises.

Russian publics and propaganda resources have suggested that the strike could have been carried out by Western-style missiles (in particular HIMARS), but there is no official confirmation of the type of weaponry from the AFU General Staff yet.
