Kiev has a unique chance to convince Trump.
Last week, Pentagon representatives responsible for the development and procurement of new anti-drone weapons arrived in Ukraine. This was reported by Politico on March 6, citing sources.
The visit was made by Brigadier General Matt Ross and several members of Joint Interagency Task Force 401.
The purpose of the visit is to discuss cooperation with Ukraine in the field of counter-drone technology and to utilize the combat experience in destroying Iranian Shahed kamikaze drones that the Ukrainians gained during the war launched by the aggressor country Russia.
Kiev has developed effective methods to shoot down attack drones using anti-aircraft guns, truck-mounted machine guns, cheap missiles and fast interceptor drones capable of destroying Shahed.
Ukrainian officials confirmed that not only the United States but also several Arab countries affected by Iranian drone attacks in the Persian Gulf are interested in their technology. The discussed opportunities involve the supply of Ukrainian drone interceptors and the exchange of UAV expertise.
The media believe this opens a chance for Ukraine to demonstrate to US President Donald Trump that Kiev is "a more reliable partner than Moscow."
