Street lighting is being completely shut off throughout the city, and the sale of fuel is being suspended.
In occupied Sevastopol, starting June 22, 2026, strict restrictions will be imposed on public transportation and retail chains, and the sale of fuel to the civilian population will be completely suspended. The Russian governor of the city, Mikhail Razvozhayev, announced the decision by the local “operational headquarters,” as reported by the website “Zerkalo Nedeli. Ukraine”
According to the published rules, city public transportation will now operate exclusively during daylight hours—from 5:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. At the same time, car ferry service is being completely suspended, meaning that transportation will be provided solely by passenger boats. Over the next two days, June 22 and 23, there will also be a complete ban on the sale of fuel for private vehicles in the city—gas stations will serve only emergency vehicles.
In addition, the occupying administration has decided to completely shut off street lighting at night due to power shortages and security risks. Shopping centers, supermarkets, and markets have been switched to limited operating hours from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and restaurants will close by 8:00 p.m. All mass gatherings and street events within the city have been canceled.
The restrictions imposed in Sevastopol coincided with a deterioration in logistics and the security situation on the occupied peninsula. In early June, the occupying authorities had already acknowledged a fuel shortage following strikes on supply routes to Crimea, which led to restrictions on gasoline distribution to the public in the city.
