EU Imposes Sanctions On Chinese State-owned Company For The First Time Because Of Lukashenko

The Chinese concern is accused of involvement in the production of Belarusian military products.

The European Union, imposing new restrictions against Belarus within the 20th package of sanctions, for the first time applied sanctions to a Chinese company. This is stated on the website of the EU Council.

"For the first time in the framework of the sanctions regime against Belarus, sanctions are imposed on a Chinese state-owned company," noted in the Council.

According to the statement, the measures are directed against the Chinese state-owned concern: it is accused of involvement in the production of Belarusian military products.
