There Were 16 Explosions: The Saki Thermal Power Plant Is On Fire In Crimea

On the night of Saturday, June 28, in the city of Saki in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This was reported by the pro-Ukrainian OSINT channel “Crimean Wind”.

A local thermal power plant came under attack. Over the course of an hour, witnesses recorded 16 explosions accompanied by flashes of light, and smoke was also observed.

The Saki Thermal Power Plant is on fire following airstrikes, the "Crimean Wind" monitoring group later reported, citing satellite imagery.

The fire is reported to be in the area of the fuel tanks.

By morning, the fire at the Saki Thermal Power Plant had intensified. Satellite imagery shows an increase in the area of thermal signatures.

The Saka Thermal Power Plant has an electrical capacity of 149.4 MW and a thermal capacity of 138 Gcal/h. The CHP plant is the main producer of thermal energy in Saki.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that 213 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were allegedly shot down overnight.
