Trump's position remains the same.
US President Donald Trump discussed with top national security advisers Iran's proposal for a phased settlement of the conflict. This was reported by White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt.
"I wouldn't say it (Iranian proposal .- Note) is under consideration. I'll just note that there was a discussion this morning - I don't want to get ahead of myself about it. I'm sure you will hear the president's position directly from him on this issue," Levitt said at the briefing.
The White House press secretary said Donald Trump's position remains the same: he wants the Strait of Hormuz to be open for oil transit and for Iran to transfer enriched uranium to the United States.
Today, the American publication Axios and the Lebanese TV channel Al-Mayadeen, citing sources, reported that Iran offered the United States a phased resolution of the conflict, starting with the cessation of hostilities and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. After that, the publication said, the sides could return to discussing Iran's nuclear program.
