The National Bank of the Republic of Belarus has presented a new banknote of Br200 denomination for 2026. It will enter circulation on June 1.
The design of the new banknote generally retained the concept of the current two-hundred-pruble banknote, but received a number of visual changes and updated security features.
The new banknote bears the signature of the current chairman of the National Bank Roman Golovchenko. Also, for the first time the name of the depicted architectural object is indicated - "Magilewski ablasny art museum named after P.V. Maslenikau".
The updated security elements include an additional watermark in the form of a very light image of the denomination "200", a wider security thread 4 millimeters thick with noticeable visual effects, reinforcement of the paper edge using the Iron Frame technology along the long side of the banknote, as well as double-sided varnishing, increasing its wear resistance.

The National Bank has already issued updated banknotes in denominations of Br5, Br10, Br20, Br50 and Br100. They went into circulation between 2019 and 2022.
