BSU Journalism Department Is Left Without A Dean

Belyaev's last name was removed from the faculty website.

The BSU Faculty of Journalism has been without a dean for at least a week. Previously, the position was held by Alexei Belyaev, a candidate of historical sciences, "The Point" noted.

There are no reports about Belyaev's departure, but his name was removed from the website of the journalism department and the general website of BSU. In place of the dean's position, the name is not there.

In addition, Belyaev is now presented only as a political scientist and candidate of historical sciences on the talk show "Budyni" from SBTV and Alpha Radio.

It is not known when exactly and for what reason Belyaev left his post. The last news story naming him as dean on the BSU Journal Faculty website appeared in mid-May 2026.

Alexei Belyaev became dean in February 2023, after the faculty had been without a head for almost five months following the departure of Olga Samusevich.

Alexei Belyaev is a regular participant in propaganda shows and events.
