A video of the surgery has surfaced.

The Russian military continues to use underground infrastructure in an attempt to reach Ukrainian Armed Forces positions, but Ukrainian defenders are turning such facilities into deadly traps for the occupiers.

Soldiers from the unmanned systems battalion of the 71st Separate Jaeger Airborne Assault Brigade carried out an operation in which a 140-kilogram “Shrek” munition was delivered into a gas pipe occupied by the invaders “Shrek.”

A video of the operation was published on the battalion’s unofficial Telegram channel. The operation also involved the “Gimli” ground-based robotic system, reconnaissance units, and the “Vampire” bomber drone.

Ukrainian military personnel discovered an open gap in the area where a gas pipeline runs; the aforementioned 140-kg munition was dropped into it and detonated using a drone-bomber.

“Climbing through gas pipelines is certainly an original idea. But that’s not what they’re for. That’s why our battalion carried out routine maintenance, and we were assisted in this by the ‘Gimli’ NRK and a 140-kg ‘Shrek’ munition. The exit from the pipe is blocked,” reads the video description.
