According to preliminary information, drones may have attacked the Simferopol Thermal Power Plant (TPP) last night, which could have caused power outages in the city. This was reported by OSINT channels.

At the same time, as of the time of publication, there was no official confirmation of an attack on the facility. Footage has appeared online in which the sounds of explosions can be heard and bright flashes are visible.
Subsequently, additional footage of the aftermath of the UAV attack on Simferopol emerged. It shows a fire that broke out near the Simferopol Thermal Power Plant.

The Telegram channel "Crimean Wind" also reported that a loud explosion was heard in the villages of Donskoye and Maryino in the Simferopol district. The explosion was so powerful that windows rattled in homes. However, it is still unknown what caused it.
Subsequently, explosions and air defense fire were heard in the Nizhnegorsk and Krasnogvardeisky districts. A series of explosions was also heard at the Russian military airfield “Saki,” along with active air defense operations.
The occupying authorities are remaining silent about the consequences of the drone attack. Online reports indicate that it was only an hour after the attack that residents of Simferopol began receiving alerts about the threat.
