The French president has prepared an itinerary for his American counterpart.

French President Emmanuel Macron has prepared a program for his American counterpart Donald Trump at the Palace of Versailles.

This was reported by Le Figaro.

The detailed guest list is not yet known, but all guests are expected to arrive at the palace by 7:00 p.m., when Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron are scheduled to arrive.

The presidential couple will meet Donald Trump at 7:15 p.m. in the courtyard, in front of the press. The U.S. president will land at Orly Airport just over an hour before that.

First, the leaders of the two countries will take a brief tour of the palace, including a stop in the famous Hall of Mirrors and a visit to the exhibition “Versailles and the United States,” dedicated to the role the palace played in the signing of the U.S. Declaration of Independence between 1778 and 1783.
Dinner will begin at 7:45 p.m. The menu has not yet been announced.

According to the Élysée Palace, there will be neither a closing fireworks display—which had been considered as an option—nor the Grandes Eaux Nocturnes show—a sound-and-light spectacle in the royal gardens. The leaders are scheduled to depart at 10:30 p.m.

Of course, this event will affect traffic in the Île-de-France region. The Orly–Versailles route will be completely closed to traffic on the A86 highway and the N12 road.

In addition, 200 police officers from the Yvelines department and 8 CRS companies will be deployed in the city of Versailles alone, while in the vicinity of the palace, bomb disposal units, the Security and Protection Service (SDLP), the RAID special forces, and the Republican Guard.

Macron invited Trump to dinner at the Palace of Versailles to conclude the G7 summit. It was later reported that the American president accepted the invitation.

The media reported that Macron’s invitation was likely an attempt to curry favor with Trump, who loves luxury and gilded interiors, as well as an effort to keep him at the summit until its conclusion.

Trump himself expressed his satisfaction with the invitation to dinner at the Palace of Versailles.
