Several Targets Were Struck: The SBU Revealed Details Of A Massive Attack On Moscow

It has been reported that a fire has broken out at the Moscow Oil Refinery.

On the night of June 18, the Ukrainian Defense Forces once again struck the Moscow Oil Refinery in the Moscow Region of the Russian Federation. Strikes were recorded on the plant’s premises, resulting in a large-scale fire that sparked at least five separate fires.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, the strike on the facility was carried out by fighters from the “Alpha” Special Operations Center in conjunction with other units of the Defense Forces. It has been preliminarily established that Ukrainian drones struck the tank farm, the primary oil refining unit, and the diesel fuel hydrotreating unit.

The General Staff noted that the Moscow Oil Refinery has a capacity exceeding 12 million metric tons of oil per year, and that the facility itself is involved in supplying the Russian army. According to preliminary reports on the location, a combined oil refining unit, secondary refining units, and a tank farm are on fire.

In addition to the Moscow Oil Refinery, the "Gukovo" oil depot in the Rostov Region of the Russian Federation was struck. A strike and a fire were also reported there. According to the General Staff, the facility is used to store and transship fuels and lubricants that support the military and transportation infrastructure of the aggressor state.

In addition, the Ukrainian military struck a road bridge across the Kalka River near Granitnoye in the Donetsk region and a railway bridge across the North Crimean Canal near Razdolnoye in occupied Crimea. These facilities were used for military transport and logistics by the occupying forces.

Furthermore, a strike was carried out against an occupiers’ command post in the Soledar area, and in Mariupol, Piatipole, and near Boykovskoye—strikes were carried out against enemy fuel and lubricant depots and logistics facilities.

The General Staff also confirmed the results of previous strikes on Russian infrastructure. In particular, following the attack on the “Palkino” station in the Yaroslavl Region, seven storage tanks with a total capacity of 95,000 cubic meters were destroyed, and damage to storage tanks and a section of an oil pipeline was confirmed at facilities in the Volgograd Region and Krasnodar Krai.
